SHEENA MCDONAGH & PAUL MATTHEWS –
Sheena McDonagh and Paul Matthews bring you a beautiful blend of style and substance with their carefully chosen soul, blues, jazz and contemporary songs in dulcet tones.  With songs from The Great American Songbook and more, we deliver a range of music across the styles to suit any occasion.

1pm – 3pm CROWN HOTEL BALLROOM  
THE JAKE LEG JUG BAND – return to bring you the authentic sounds of 1920’s and 30’s America – Jazz, Blues, Gospel, Ragtime – and put their own twist on it. Songs of murder, betrayal, gambling, liquor and redemption.  Signed to one of the UK’s most prestigious Jazz labels ‘Lake Records’ they record their albums as part of the ‘Vintage Recording Project’. Three albums released in the last three years; ‘Cotton Mouth’, ‘Next Stop!’ and their latest offering ‘Everythin’s Jake’ have all met with rave reviews.

JOEY SHIELDS
– A Liverpool legend, Joey is truly renowned as one of the greats of the genre in the North West with style all of his own.  An accomplished guitarist, harmonica player and vocalist see him perform solo.

– A six piece band playing their special blend of Blues, Rock and Soul from John Mayall, Climax Blues Band, Walter Trout though to Joe Cocker, Bob Seger, Gerry Rafferty with a sprinkling of Stones mixed in, all played with passion and a whole lot of soul!

2pm – 4pm THE BOWLING GREEN
BLUE SILK
– Judy Blu is a Birmingham based singer and songwriter who has performed at numerous festivals and venues across the UK.  Judy has an amazing versatility in her voice and so don’t be surprised to hear different influences in her performance.  These influences include Jazz, Blues and Soul classics.  Judy Blu presents Blue Silk.  The Blue Silk duo featuring Judy Blu and Ian Silk will be showcasing original songs with jazz and soul classics with a twist.  Ian is a unique fingerstyle player, who is often likened to players such as Tommy Emmanuel, Martin Taylor and Joe Passe.  Together with the smoky and versatile vocals of Judy Blu they create an exhilarating and exiting performance to remember.

2pm – 4pm THE CROWN HOTEL BAR
THE STEVE OAKES QUARTET –
Featuring Steve Oakes on guitar, Ed Kainyek on alto and soprano saxes, John Sandham on bass, and Tim Franks on drums. The band performs a mixture of original compositions and interpretations of pieces by contemporary jazz greats including Pat Metheny and Chick Corea. The music is frequently dynamic, passionate, and exciting, but at times lyrical and reflective.

2pm – 4pm FIRENZE
THE V – The V are a band that play an eclectic mix of songs performing numbers to suit every member of the audience. The V play popular music from many different styles and eras.  The boys like nothing more than to see the audience enjoying themselves (even if that means seeing some rather embarrassing dance moves every now and then!) they are a fun, energetic band that enjoy a bit of banter with the crowd.

2pm – 4pm THE RED COW
BEAM ACOUSTIC –
An afternoon with BEAM in acoustic mode with a covers session from Scott D Thompson and Glynn Sutton.  Well established local musicians with over 20 years gigging experience in both original projects and covers bands spanning many genres.  Expect a twist on popular classic covers and anticipate some excellent guitar work.

2pm – 4pm THE WHITE HORSE
PHOTOBOOTH SMILE – Local female fronted 3 piece appear on their 4th time at the Festival playing a full session of crowd pleasing covers from artists such as Blondie, Stereophonics, Oasis, White Stripes, The Killers, Katrina & The Waves and ADELE, plus many more a splendid time is in prospect.

2pm – 4pm THE TALBOT
CALLUM JOSEPH WRIGHT –
From Cheshire and continuing to carve a name out for himself, it has already been a whirlwind year for singer songwriter Callum – receiving rave reviews and support from the professional music industry… Callum is certainly no stranger to the stage – described as having endless amounts of original talent.  More recently he has recorded with producer and music guru Will Jackson in his Leeds music studio.  Callum is delighted to be welcomed back to The Talbot.

3pm – 5pm THE CAT
BAXTER
– Peters & Lee, Nina & Fredrick, Gerald & Maureen (they weren’t so well known)  and now – Baxter.  Hayley is something of a local legend, with direct, powerhouse vocals, evenly matched with a dry wit and infectious guitar style.  Paul looks a bit like Dave Grohl (no really) and brings strong vocal styles from soul, blues and jazz through to big rock anthems.  Together, with a set of almost disturbingly quirky covers they entertain fantastically !!!!

3pm – 5pm THE MALBANK
GOODFELLAS BLUES BAND – 
These Goodfellas have a wide repertoire of material comprising songs from influential artists such as Eric Clapton & the Blues Breakers, Fleetwood Mac & BB King through to the more fiery and passionate acts such as Gary Moore, Jeff Healey & Joe Bonamassa in order to create a colourful palette of material with the odd surprise thrown in for good measure along the way.

3pm – 5pm THE SHAKESPEARE
THE LOL GOODMAN BAND – Probably the most original band on the road today, by sticking to their guns and playing almost exclusively original blues/rock inspired material, the Lol Goodman Band are building a reputation as THE BAND to see on the blues circuit. With three critically acclaimed albums of all original material to their name, a record deal with RIGHT TRACK RECORDS to distribute “Just Wanna Say” and all future releases through UNIVERSAL MUSIC GROUP and appearances at top UK blues clubs and major festivals.

4pm – 6pm THE CROWN HOTEL BALLROOM
GAMBLER
– Another Festival outing for this fantastic Three Piece Rock Band, musicianship of the highest order, superb vocals and thoroughly entertaining. Rock covers from Toto, Whitesnake, U2, Foo Fighters, KOL, Kansas, Don Henley and many more. Mr Steve on Bass, Paul on Drums and Kev on Guitar. First class band covering anything but the norm, two hours of rock music at its finest!

4pm – 6pm THE CROWN HOTEL BAR
PASTRY SHOES
– Expect a great sing-along, anything from 1940’s American Songbook standards to lively pop hits from the 60’s onwards, from the likes of Fats Waller, Billie Holiday, Carmen Miranda and Charles Trenez to Sandy Shaw, Stevie Wonder, the Phil Spectre Wall of Sound and Olly Murs.  Entertaining you with female vocals, guitar and tenor saxophone, Pastry Shoes will welcome you warmly and truly appreciate your participation.  Anyone up for some festival fun?

JOSH WHITTAKER
– From Nantwich, Josh is an award winning 17 year old  singer/songwriter.  He has appeared on BBC Introducing , been an  Open Mic UK National Finalist and has achieved a top 10 placing in Young Songwriter ’16.

BLIND SUMMIT BLUES
– Blind Summit Blues The band is steeped in R&B history. Most Members go back to their roots in the 60’s when blues legends were playing at their local dance halls and they were in support bands. They have played almost ever year at Nantwich Jazz and Blues  Festival as well as playing both Colne and Burnley Festivals. Don’t miss them.

THE ENTERTAINMENT –
Cathy Roberts/Al Sherwood perform an eclectic of classic and contemporary songs . Artists include Fleetwood Mac, Coldplay, , Daft Punk, Stereophonics and many more – Keep music Live !

THE MELOTONE TRIO
–  Hailing from Staffordshire and Cheshire, The Melotone Trio are experienced musicians with Dave on vocals, John on guitar and Matt on drums/percussion. We play our own take on a range of jazz, blues and Latin standards. Our set will offer something for all listeners and provides a refreshing  antidote to a modern, hectic world.

SINPUSHER –
Classic rock and blues from this popular local band comprising Chris – Vocals  Dave – Guitars,  Rich P-Bass,  Tony – Drums and Tim – Keyboards.

7pm – 9pm RESIDENCE
FIRST REFUSAL – A fine female fronted covers band from Leek playing a fantastic set of crowd pleasers and floor fillers.  Featuring Jez on drums, Gaz on guitar, Dave on bass, and Gemma on vocals they cover hits by the likes of Foo Fighters, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Florence and the Machine, Bruno Mars, Arctic Monkeys, and Stereophonics, to name but a few.

7pm – 9pm THE SHAKESPEARE
BLOZONE – Formed in 1996 Blozone have been entertaining audiences with their mixed flavour of Soul, Motown and popular songs across the UK.  Long established, the iconic “Blozone’s Easter Monday at The Shakey” is a not to be missed annual event.  Yes, see this amazing, full-on soul band do their thing with STAX and Motown classics and much more with a performance that will have you dancing the whole time.

9pm – 11pm THE WHITE HORSE
THE NOW UNMISSABLE AFTER FESTIVAL PARTY – Hosted by Big Blue House, the legendary end of festival party is once again upon us. See off the weekend with a jam session by the good and great of local musician talent. As always, a fitting way to close the 2017 festival. It continues to be emotional, again.
