Thursday 13th April

9pm – late – THE FAMOUS WHITE HORSE OPENING OPEN MIC NIGHT – Listen to the very best of local musicians or come along and join in. Always a blast !

Saturday 15th April

12noon – 2pm SWINGOLOGY – Formed in 2005 by 5 chaps from Crosby, Liverpool, to play the toe-tapping music known as Gypsy Jazz. This style became famous in the 1930s and 1940s, popularised by the great Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli, The band not only plays all the Gypsy Jazz standards, but a range of popular Jazz classics and some modern songs in the classic Swing “Manouche” style.

2pm – 4pm THE PAPRIKA BLUES BAND – The Paprika Blues Band were formed in early 2015, and since then have taken Shropshire by storm, performing at many venues and festivals across the county, winning new fans and earning great reviews. Their tender years belie a deep knowledge and understanding of not only the blues, but also jazz and funk. They are already seasoned and accomplished musicians in their own right.  Think foot stomping honky-tonk piano, intertwined with intricate drumming, solid driving bass and topped off with the passionate silky vocals of Lauren Scarlett and you get the idea.

4pm – 6pm SHAKERMAKER – This local covers band, are going from strength to strength having performed gigs at The Cavern in Liverpool and The Hard Rock Café over the last 12 months. Playing rock, indie and rock n roll music from the 50’s to the present day the band  absolutely LOVE being on stage. Performing in a way that is guaranteed to get the joint REALLY pumping it soon becomes clear that the guys are passionate about what they do !

6pm – 8pm THE AGE OF PLASTIC – Very much in demand these guys are a South Cheshire based covers band specialising in Britpop and Indie classics.  A constantly evolving set list currently includes the most popular Britpop classics from bands such as Blur, Oasis, Pulp, Ocean Colour Scene, The Stone Roses and many more. There’s also some modern classics thrown in too. The band pride themselves in playing the best songs to get the crowd moving and having a good time.

9pm – 11pm THE DANS – Fantastic covers from Dan (vocals) Al (Bass) Nick (Guitar) Sam (Drums) embracing Rock, Funk, Blues & Pop.  Always a good night when The Dans are on board playing a mix to entertain everybody.

 Sunday 16th April

12noon – 2pm THE MILK MEN –  is a supergroup of well known and hugely respected UK blues musicians.  The band was formed in 2010 by mates Adam Norsworthy (lead singer/guitarist of four-time British Blues Award nominees the Mustangs) and Jamie Smy (Jellyroll Men lead singer).  The duo are joined on drums by ex-Pirate Mike Roberts, and on bass by Lloyd Green, son of legendary Pirate and r’n’b superstar Mick Green.  The Milk Men play a dynamic mix of classic blues and r’n’b, as well as some originals.

3pm – 5pm THE ESCAPE COMMITTEE – Blues, Rock, Country, Folk-not in that order necessarily.  Accomplished musicians led by Pete “Sarge” Frampton and featuring, George Glover, Keys –  (Climax blues Band) John Gibson – Bass (Manchester removal Men) Paul Burgess, Drums (10cc).Sunday

6pm – 8pm BAXTER BAND – They said it couldn’t be done but here it is. The long awaited five (yes 5) – piece BAXTER BAND – FIVE TIMES the quirky tunes… FIVE TIMES the ridiculous banter… FIVE TIMES the rocking out and FIVE TIMES THE FUN!!!!!  Get your drink on and swing your best trousers to your new favourite band!!!!

9pm – 11pm MUTHA HUMBUCKER – Classic and modern rock – But with a slight twist.   Having played  1000’s of gigs from 1 extreme to the other – venues that hold about 50 to venues and festivals that cater for Thousands !!!!!  They have supported bands from The Levellers to  Chris Fawlowe and The Norman Beaker Band. Expect to hear a big sound and see a tight show full of the party anthem Rock songs you would expect – and some you might not !

Monday 17th April

2pm – 2pm PHOTOBOOTH SMILE – Local female fronted 3 piece appear on their 4th time at the Festival playing a full session of crowd pleasing covers from artists such as Blondie, Stereophonics, Oasis, White Stripes, The Killers, Katrina & The Waves and ADELE, plus many more a splendid time is in prospect.

4pm – 6pm THE BLIND SUMMIT BLUES BAND – Blind Summit Blues The band is  steeped in R&B history.  Most Members go back to their roots in the 60’s when blues legends were playing at their local dance halls and they were in support bands. They have played almost ever year at Nantwich Jazz and Blues Festival as well as playing both Colne and Burnley Festivals. Don’t miss them.

6pm – 8pm SINPUSHER – Classic rock and blues from this popular local band comprising Chris – Vocals Dave – Guitars,  Rich P-Bass,  Tony – Drums and Tim – Keyboards.

9pm – 11pm THE NOW UNMISSABLE AFTER FESTIVAL PARTY – Hosted by Big Blue House, the legendary end of festival party is once again upon us. See off the weekend with a jam session by the good and great of local musician talent. As always, a fitting way to close the 2017 festival. It continues to be emotional, again.
