The 2017 festival was applauded as a success by everyone involved including Cheshire Police ! Officers were out in force throughout the bank holiday weekend to ensure that the festivities were observed in a good-natured manner. Sergeant Ian Bennett, of the Nantwich policing team is reported to have said: “Thousands of people descended on Nantwich to enjoy the jazz festival, which from a policing perspective, went well”. and that “Overall, officers found the atmosphere to be friendly with most people behaving sensibly and having a happy and cheerful time”.
As well as over 150 gigs in the round the town venues we were proud to stage headline shows from the Geno Washington, Ruby Turner King King, Rebecca Downes, Emma and The Wolf Mike Sanchez and The Beat.
With Welsh Row back in the festival and venues including the new Bank Stage full to capacity throughout the weekend a jolly good time was had by all.
We’ve already started to look at 2018 so keep an eye on our website and social media for announcements.
