Nantwich Jazz Blues & Music Festival

Round the Town – Sunday 4th April 2021

11AM – 12PM – THE BANK STAGE – STEVIE HEGER – All the way from California noted musician and recording artiste Stevie plays covers and some well crafted self penned numbers.

12PM – 1PM – THE BANK STAGE – RIVERS AND KIDD – Everything from reggae to folk, prog to punk, psychedelic to indie. Martin Rivers and Jaqi Kidd are musicians and songwriters based in the Northwest of England.

12PM – 2PM – THE CROWN BAR – FRANK GRIFFITH TRIO – As a renowned jazz saxophonist and clarinettist, Frank Griffith has been performing for over 40 years, primarily in New York and London.

12PM – 2PM – THE CAT – CALLUM WRIGHT – A fantastic solo performance from local musician Callum Wright to open the day at The Cat.

12PM – 2PM – THE STUDIO – THE LIAM WARD BAND – Modern rhythm and blues like you’ve never heard before. Winner of the National Harmonica League Player of the Year he has been described by Harmonica World as ‘endlessly inventive’.

1PM – 3PM – THE BANK STAGE – HOLLIE VEE AND THE HUBKAPS – Back again and deservedly. Proud to bring you Lo- Fi Rock n Soul & Rockabilly fuelled with energy!!

1PM – 7:30PM – THE CROWN HOTEL – BALLROOM CHRIS BEVINGTON AND FRIENDS – A full programme featuring Ritchie Dave Porter, The John Angus Band and of Course The Chris Bevington Organisation.

1PM – 3PM – THE BOWLING GREEN – BLUES TRAIN – Red Hot n’ Raw, BAR – Room, Rhythm n’ Blues. COME RIDE THE TRAIN!!!

1PM – 3PM – FIRENZE – EAR WORM – An acoustic group which has tackled songs from the swinging 60s right up to modern day.

1PM – 3PM – HARRISONS – ACOUSTIC ANARCHY DUO – We are Acoustic Anarchy – Music for Everyone covering a wide range of genres and styles.


1PM – 3PM – THE TALBOT – THE HAT TRICKS – A duo that thinks it’s a full band! Great tunes from the 50’s to the present day, loads of fun and of course HATS! Will have you dancing and singing along from the start!

2PM – 4PM – THE MALBANK – DAN TOFT AND EMILY BARNETT – Daniel Toft is a Cheshire based guitarist who will be appearing with Emily Barnett, expect some excellent covers and acoustic loveliness.

2PM – 4PM – THE CAT  – LUNDIE BROTHERS – Brothers Nick and Nathan play an eclectic mix of 80’s, 90’s, 00’s classics in their unique acoustic way. Whether you are a fan of Simple Minds or Alanis Morrisette.

2PM – 4PM – RED COW – THE ENTERTAINMENT – Acoustic duo, comprising Cathy Roberts and Al Sherwood, this innovative duo performs a vibrant and exciting set.

2PM – 4PM – THE STUDIO – VAVOOM – Local rockabilly legends always STAGE – a high speed electrifying show which is fast and full on from start to finish. One not to miss!!!

3PM – 5PM – THE BANK STAGE – ELVIS FONTENOT – These guys took the roof off the Bank Stage the last two years and a definite must see. For over 25 years Elvis Fontenot have turned traditional cajun and zydeco music, eclectic covers & original songs.

3PM – 5PM – BENCH BISTRO BAR – AUTOMATIC ANNIE – A five piece electric blues band, exceptionally versatile enabling them to play jazz, rhythm n blues, Latin jazz, 50’s rockabilly and soul. Julia’s versatile vocals are warm and rich for jazz and soul textures and she can still howl down the big blue sky for you.

3PM – 5PM – STREET – CALLUM WRIGHT – A quick run down the road for another fantastic solo performance from local musician Callum Wright.

3PM – 5PM – FIRENZE – PEDAL TONES – The idea for the Pedal Tones stemmed from our love of playing indie, rock and energetic songs that really let us perform! Come and see us while you can 😉

3PM – 5PM – THE CROWN BAR – KEVIN HASSETT’S REDUX – A quartet with a growing reputation for providing innovative, accessible jazz-based entertainment for North West audiences.

3PM – 5PM – METHODIST CHURCH – THE SALT CITY JAZZMEN – Home grown heroes and all time supporters of the Nantwich Festival. Good solid trad jazz from probably the longest running band at The Festival, if not in the country.

4PM – 8PM – THE CAT – THE TONE JUNKIES – A 3 piece pro rock and acoustic band who pride themselves on their ability to please any audience!

4PM – 6PM – HARRISONS – BAXTER – The musical duo of Hayley Strangelove and Paul Senior. Like half of ABBA only not like ABBA. Expect quirky covers and ridiculous banter! 🙂

4PM – 6PM – THE MALBANK – JUNKHOUSE DOG – Hailing from Manchester, they give their own exciting harmonica driven raw and rootsy blues. Be prepared for a lively afternoon!!!

4PM – 6PM – THE STUDIO – WAYNE AND THE HAIRY PEACHES – Have performed at this prestigious event for over twelve years. The five piece band features musicians performing at the top of their game with blistering solos and harmonies.

4PM – 6PM – THE WHITE HORSE – AFTERGLOW – Afterglow are a rock & pop covers band with attitude! Bringing a party atmosphere to the White Horse, perfect for Sunday afternoon!

5PM – 7PM – THE BANK STAGE – SKALINSKIS – Combine the stance and sensibility of electric Rock and Roll with the eccentric offbeat genius of heavy brass-driven Ska. Expect to dance.

5PM – 7PM – THE BOWLING GREEN – GRUMPY MULE – A rockin harmonica driven band that play up tempo rockin blues. A band to dance tap your feet or just shake your hips to. These mules kick ass.

5PM – 7PM – RED COW – HEIDI AND COLIN BROWNE – Fabulous family-Browne duo. Performing a great range of music, topped off by a bit of personality! Expect fantastic musicianship!

6PM – 8PM – BENCH BISTRO BAR – THE EXTRAS – Play High Octane British R n B; Rock n Roll; freakbeat; Blues rock…Influenced by Dr Feelgood, The Pirates. Dick Dale, Rory Gallagher, Chris Spedding, Brian Setzer and Wilko Johnson.

6PM – 8PM – FIRENZE – FAT LIP – Let it not be said that we don’t put on something for everyone, Fat Lip give us Pop-Punk in all its glory, if you like Blink 182, Good Charlotte and the like, you’ll love Fat Lip!

6PM – 8PM – THE MALBANK – MARTIN DALY BAND – Playing a heady mixture of guitar based dynamically driven music including many popular and well-known numbers from the Blues/Rock/Jazz canon in a sympathetic and inventive style.

6PM – 8PM – THE STUDIO – MATRIX CLUB MATRIX – Brought together by the love of music, Matrix Club Matrix bring you the Cream of Club Classics and Dance Anthems that shaped the World of Dance music. Fronted by Charmanie Baines.

6PM – 8PM – STREET –  BAXTER – The musical duo of Hayley Strangelove and Paul Senior. Like half of ABBA only not like ABBA. Expect quirky covers and ridiculous banter! 🙂

7PM – 9PM – THE BANK STAGE – GAMBLER – Rock and Blues? Oh yes, Gambler will be rocking up the Bank STAGE – with their usual style and panache, firm Festival favourites and guaranteed to be a great night!

7PM – 11PM – THE CROWN HOTEL BAR – B.D. LENZ – Featuring the amazing Kim Cypher on sax. Mix together the styles of Pat Metheny, Mike Stern, and Stevie Ray Vaughn and you have the recipe for contemporary jazz guitarist B.D. Lenz. Expect a show of supreme quality.

8PM – 10PM – THE MALBANK – THE V – Playing an eclectic mix of songs performing numbers to suit every member of the audience. A fun, energetic band that enjoy a bit of banter with the crowd.

8PM – 9.30PM – THE STUDIO – JOHN COLINS BAND – Firm festival favourites and rightly so! A totally off the wall STAGE – show and a solid set of floor filling numbers never fails to make a fantastic time.

9PM – 11PM – THE BANK STAGE – BOHEMIAN KINGS – Highly experienced & professional cover band making your special event one to remember! Repertoire ranging from 70’s, 80’s, 90’s right up to present day.

9PM – 11PM – THE BOWLING GREEN – PHOTOBOOTH SMILE – Throwback greatest hits set from the past 40 years! Expect a full night of crowd pleasing, covering songs from Foo Fighters to Cher and anything in between!

9PM – 11PM – THE CROWN HOTEL – BALLROOM JUKE JAM – A 6-piece band playing a floor-filling mix of ska and soul, guaranteed to get audiences on their feet and dancing!

9PM – 11PM – THE WHITE HORSE – ADRENALIZE – Female fronted rock group, covering huge tracks from the likes of Paramore, Pat Benetar, Stevie Nicks, In This Moment, Halestorm, The Cranberries, Flyleaf, Evanescence, Skunk Anansie, The Pretty Reckless etc… get the idea?
