Bar 9pm – 11pm  OGO NZEAKOR – One of Liverpools finest artist. Playing in venues like Hannahs Bar, 3345 and Aki’s wine bar this guy is a well established artist in the Liverpool live music scene. Singer/ songwriter has also worked with successful groups and fellow artists such as The Sense of Sound Choir and Sandi Thom.


BAR 6pm – 8pm HAYLEY STRANGELOVE – Acoustic singer/songwriter, performer of parodies, warbler of covers, writer of deep stuff, creator of balderdash, causer of chaos, joiner-inner of shenanigans and a bit of a character – in a
good way!

BAR 9pm – 11pm BAXTER – Peters & Lee, Nina & Fredrick, Gerald & Maureen (they weren’t so well known) and now – Baxter. Hayley is something of a local legend, with direct, powerhouse vocals, evenly matched with a dry wit and infectious guitar style. Paul looks a bit like Dave Grohl (no really) and brings strong vocal styles from soul, blues and jazz through to big rock anthems. Together, with a set of almost disturbingly quirky covers they entertain fantastically !!!!


BAR 3pm – 5pm R & B JONES – We are pleased and proud to welcome these guys back. A duo that plays traditional and original blues with a lively, country beat. Rod Jones, harmonica. Garrington T Jones, vocals, bouzouki, bass, 12 string guitar, harmonica. Robert (Poor Bob) Jones, vocals, guitar, slide guitar. Formed 5 years ago in Worcester they have been predominant on their local Blues scene around Worcestershire & Herefordshire.

BALLROOM  3pm – 5pm THE ZOE GREEN BAND – Zoe Green Band brings its explosive set of originals and covers to the Blues Funk scene with a show that is not to be missed! Featuring creative ballads through to hard hitting Blues, Zoe delivers a powerful, sultry vocal and her sexy, energetic performance is guaranteed to leave you wanting more….They will be launching their much awaited EP mid-year 2017.

BALLROOM  5pm – 7pm CRY BABY & THE HOOCHIE COOCHE BOYS – So why ‘Cry Baby and The Hoochie Coochie Boys?’ Starting with The Hoochie Coochie Boys, the band has been heavily influenced by the Chicago Blues sound, as well as a British influence from Nine Below Zero & Dr. Feelgood, and Hoochie Coochie Boys is a nod to the great Muddy Waters. Rob Wilkinson under pins the band with gritty harmonica playing and a wailing tone, hence the Cry Baby.

BAR 6pm – 8pm CHUCK HARRIET – were formed from a desire to play music that has become cool again. Vintage Jazz Swing played with style and flair and a few surprises along the way. All band members are highly experienced musicians playing together with ease and skill. Classic tunes mixed with modern tunes and a creative flair, give Chuck Harriet a classy yet current approach and a unique style and sound.

BALLROOM 8pm – 10pm ENCORE DE FUNK – A well earned return to The Crown for their Soul, Ska, Funk and Jazz influenced sound. Their set list is comprised of original interpretations of contemporary classics along with some untouched masterpieces. Members of the group have performed at numerous festivals including The Cork Jazz Festival, Leeds/Reading Carling Festival and Wakestock. The band are at their best live, with a powerful horn section, intricate keys and solid rhythm section. This is complimented by smooth soulful vocals. Their performances feature some of the best moments of Acid Jazz and Soul and include vintage portrayals of indie classics.

BAR 9pm – 11pm BARRELHOUSE JUKES – Back by popular demand and making a welcome return to the Nantwich Jazz & Blues festival for the fifth consecutive year is Acoustic Blues & Roots band, ‘Barrelhouse Jukes’ consisting of Pete Latham (guitar & vocals), Al Bruce (bass & vocals) & Julian Ogle (drums & vocals). Playing a range of standards with a West Coast flavour in their unique style, they’re regular performers across Cheshire and the Potteries.


BALLROOM 12pm – 5pm THE CHRIS BEVINGTON ORGANISATION – A fantastic show in store from Album Chart topping Chris Bevington who has put together a true supergroup and will present a fantastic afternoon of Blues. Featuring guest appearances by Dirk Diggler’s Blues Review & singer/songwriter Michael Rhead. Chris’s band lineup includes Local guitar hero Jim Kirkpatrick, Sarah Miller, Scott Ralph, Kate Robertson & many other talented local musicians.

BAR 1pm – 3pm THE ANNIE LONG TRIO – Always popular at Nantwich Jazz and Blues Festival, local Wirral singer Annie is back with her superb musicians to deliver the perfect mix of swinging jazz, soulful ballads, catchy latin and raunchy blues. Featuring songs from both her albums “Swansong” and “A New Dawn”. What better way is there to start your Easter Sunday?

BAR 4pm – 6pm MONTPARNASSE – Their second outing today. Back by overwhelming demand Parisian singer Céline Dommart sings French Chanson, Latin and Jazz music accompanied by award winning guitarist Cris Tolley, double bassist Rob Smith and drummer Rob Payne. Performing sell out concerts across The Midlands and rapidly rising to prominence Montparnasse are a must see.

BALLROOM 6pm – 8pm STEVIE HEGER & FRIENDS – Stevie Heger has been a long-time Drummer for Beach Boys’ great Al Jardine and has been in the music business for most of his life. In addition to touring as a professional Drummer, Stevie has released 7 albums over 22 years and has toured regularly throughout the United States and Japan. He has worked on a vast array of material and over 1000 recordings from Neil Young to Santana. Heger is playing the Crown with UK friends and top session musicians Howard and Dave.

BAR 7pm – 11pm NICK STEED & FRIENDS – Nick Steed is a freelance keyboardist, piano/vocalist based in Stockport, South Manchester performing all over the UK and Europe and currently member of British Blues outfit ‘The Norman Beaker Band’. Nick will be bringing along a friend or two to give us an evening of music in the bar.

BALLROOM 9pm – 11pm SOUL DEVOTION – A high energy feel-good vibe that never fails to entertain. A talented band, fronted by female vocalists, with that sultry style and glamour you would expect from the classic bands of the 60’s & 70’s. There are no funny wigs, silly costumes or backing tracks here… instead, an entertaining package of dance routines, audience participation and a band that simply love playing that sweet soul music with a funky twist and a hit of Motown magic in their own inimitable style. Stevie Wonder, Chaka Khan, Aretha Franklin and even Amy Winehouse, to name but a few, all get the Soul Devotion treatment – truly an experience not to be missed!


BALLROOM 1pm – 3pm THE JAKE LEG JUG BAND – return to bring you the authentic sounds of 1920’s and 30’s America – Jazz, Blues, Gospel, Ragtime – and put their own twist on it. Songs of murder, betrayal, gambling, liquor and redemption. Signed to one of the UK’s most prestigious Jazz labels ‘Lake Records’ they record their albums as part of the ‘Vintage Recording Project’. Three albums released in the last three years; ‘Cotton Mouth’, ‘Next Stop!’ and their latest offering ‘Everythin’s Jake’ have all met with rave reviews.

BAR 2pm – 4pm THE STEVE OAKES QUARTET – Featuring Steve Oakes on guitar, Ed Kainyek on alto and soprano saxes, John Sandham on bass, and Tim Franks on drums. The band performs a mixture of original compositions and interpretations of pieces by contemporary jazz greats including Pat Metheny and Chick Corea. The music is frequently dynamic, passionate, and exciting, but at times lyrical and reflective.

BALLROOM 4pm – 6pm GAMBLER – Another Festival outing for this fantastic Three Piece Rock Band, musicianship of the highest order, superb vocals and thoroughly entertaining. Rock covers from Toto, Whitesnake, U2, Foo Fighters, KOL, Kansas, Don Henley and many more. Mr Steve on Bass, Paul on Drums and Kev on Guitar. First class band covering anything but the norm, two hours of rock music at its finest!

BAR 4pm – 6pm PASTRY SHOES – Expect a great sing-along, anything from 1940’s American Songbook standards to lively pop hits from the 60’s onwards, from the likes of Fats Waller, Billie Holiday, Carmen Miranda and Charles Trenez to Sandy Shaw, Stevie Wonder, the Phil Spectre Wall of Sound and Olly Murs. Entertaining you with female vocals, guitar and tenor saxophone, Pastry Shoes will welcome you warmly and truly appreciate your participation. Anyone up for some festival fun?

BAR 6pm – 8pm THE MELOTONE TRIO – Hailing from Staffordshire and Cheshire, The Melotone Trio are experienced musicians with Dave on vocals, John on guitar and Matt on drums/percussion. We play our own take on a range of jazz, blues and Latin standards. Our set will offer something for all listeners and provides a refreshing antidote to a modern, hectic world.
