Saturday 15th April
2pm – 4pm RAIN – This local acoustic duo began after a chat over a nice cup of tea. Both members at the time were in other bands (Sheena – Pink Djinn and Graeme – The New Subterraneans and The Friendly Campaign) and decided that they wanted to take their music into different directions developing a laid back yet engaging set of covers and original material. And so it Rained.
5pm – 7pm THE BLUESHOUNDS – are an experienced powerhouse quartet, based in Stone in Staffordshire, regularly playing their own brand of soulful electric rhythm and blues at pubs, clubs and festivals in the Midlands and North West for the last ten years. Regulars at the festival. The driving rhythm section really punches through and lays down the perfect foundation for the trademark high-adrenaline set for which the band is well noted.
8pm – 10pm THE V – The V are a band that play an eclectic mix of songs performing numbers to suit every member of the audience. The V play popular music from many different styles and eras. The boys like nothing more than to see the audience enjoying themselves (even if that means seeing some rather embarrassing dance moves every now and then!) they are a fun, energetic band that enjoy a bit of banter with the crowd.
Sunday 16th April
12noon – 2pm KIT & THE ICEFISH – a four piece band bringing together a diverse group of musicians who present their varied musical experiences to give their audience an enjoyable pot-pourri of rock, blues and an occasional unstoppable penchant for funk. Our multitudinous influences include Neil Young, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Peggy Lee, George Benson, Steve Lukather, ZZ Top..we could go on….!
3pm – 5pm THE EXTRAS – An authentic British Rhythm and Blues band, the Extras can trace their roots back to Liverpool’s golden era of the ’60s . “A force to be reckoned with…” – Lucas Campbell “The Extra’s don’t trade in mellow bluesy noodling or moody motif’s. It’s hotrod R’n’B all the way.” “This band rock harder than Stephen Hawking’s homework“
6pm – 8pm MIND OVER MATTER – Always a good show from this trio. Three local lads that enjoy playing various music from Chuck Berry, The Beatles, Stereophonics, Kings of Leon and many more. With tunes from the ‘50s to the present day a sterling evening’s entertainment is in store.
